We've seen too many films lost to a bad drive.

PurpleDOG Post opened in Toronto in 2009 as a boutique post-production facility, and has worked with filmmakers for 17 years.

As more films came to live only as digital files, keeping them safe and easy to reach became a job of its own. LightVAULT grew out of PurpleDOG to do exactly that.

Since then we've pioneered simple storage and easy access for petabytes of film and TV data.

Labs close. Drives fail. People leave and take the passwords with them. We keep LightVAULT small on purpose: we store your films, send them where they need to go, and we are always there to provide support if you need us.
